Center Director: Mathnasium Pleasant Grove

Mathnasium is a math-only supplementary learning center that teaches kids math in a way that makes sense. Using the proprietary Mathnasium Method with individual curriculum and specific teaching constructs, we offer customized learning plans to help students whether they are far behind or already ahead in math. Mathnasium in Pleasant Grove is currently seeking a Center Director to oversee center operations, work with students and parents, and manage a team of instructors. This center offers both in-center and online options.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial, and organizational skills to successfully operate a learning center through marketing, sales, instructional leadership, parent communication, staff management, and effective administration.

This is preferably a full-time position. For the right candidate, a part-time job-share option could be available. Work hours can vary, but generally center around 12:00-6:30 M-Th and 9:00-1:30 Saturday mornings. Extensive training provided. Compensation plus bonus opportunities based on qualifications and previous experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all aspects of center operations to ensure it runs efficiently
• Present a polished and compelling sales message to parents that drives student enrollment
• Administer Mathnasium curriculum through student assessment and diagnosis, development and execution of learning plans, and documentation of student progress
• Manage student learning environment and daily session activities, both in-center and online
• Manage a team of instructors to deliver instruction that aligns with Mathnasium methodology
• Provide superior customer service that results in student retention
• Execution of marketing and networking activities
• Complete other administrative responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven leadership skills and experience in a management or supervisory role

· Strong math skills through Algebra 1

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Exceptional customer service focus

· A passion for working with students

· Superb organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and mange time effectively

· Driven to succeed and detail oriented; a self-starter

· Be able to pass a background check

· Completed or working towards the completion of a Bachelor’s degree
